So I've worn Crocs for a few years (even before they we're popular).
I'm actually the second person I know to have them - my boss had them even before they had the name crocs. I remember people telling him how ugly they were and that they'd never be popular.
Well, they're still ugly - but they're definitely popular. In fact the ugliness is part of they're charm.
So then one day stay-at-home mom, Sheri Schmelzer, and her three children were inspired to decorate their collection of 12 pairs of Crocs in the basement of their Boulder, Colorado home. And this started the Jibbitz craze. (and has even spawned a few imitators like Charmerz and Shoe Doodles)
I think these are a great product for kids and "older kids" alike. And even though some of the imitators may be a bit cheaper, I'd put my money into Jibbitz since they have a much wider selection and more licenced properties such as the Muppets :)
